Unclaimed Benefits Roadshow: Mpumalanga

Unclaimed Benefits Roadshow: Mpumalanga 7 – 12 April 2025 MWPF’s Unclaimed Benefits Roadshow made its way to Thulamahashe, Barberton, and Secunda from 7 to 12 April. The roadshow gave ex-members the opportunity to reconnect with the Fund, check for unclaimed benefits, and receive guidance on how to claim any money owed to them.

Unclaimed Benefits Roadshow: eSwatini 31 March – 5 April 2025 MWPF took its Unclaimed Benefits Roadshow to Mbabane, Nhlangano and Manzini, offering former MWPF members a chance to check if any benefits were still owed to them. Unclaimed Benefits Roadshow: Lesotho

In May 2023, MWPF embarked on a Lesotho Unclaimed Benefits Roadshow. The Fund made contact with roughly 10091 people in total (excluding Maseru) and out of this number, 567 members had outstanding values amounting to R63 300 108 40.

MWPF CSI Initiative

At the beginning of 2023, the Fund made a difference to various communities by donating generators and water tanks to public schools and clinics to provide them with loadshedding and water storage relief. These donated resources were distributed fairly in the traditional 7 regions of the Fund (Regional Advisory Committees (RACs)), who were consulted and involved in selecting the qualifying schools and clinics.

Eastern Cape Unclaimed Roadshow

The Fund, its Trustees, and various stakeholders embarked on an unclaimed benefits roadshow in the Eastern Cape from 29 August 2022 until 14 September 2022. The roadshow aimed to locate and pay out over R300 million of unclaimed benefits to ex-miners or beneficiaries in the Eastern Cape. The Fund is pleased to announce that 271 ex-miners and beneficiaries with unclaimed benefits amounting to approximately R30m were found.
